The Position:
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team in a critical role coordinating the sales process within our branch sales organization.
Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Sales Support Specialist provides sales and business support in the new and used trailer sales process.
Facilitate invoicing, tag and title administration, temporary registrations, account management activities, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash and check handling.
Serve as a primary liaison between Great Dane corporate offices and sales locations.
QUALIFICATION
Responsibilities:
Work closely with Corporate Sales Representatives on all sales and sales support activities, including purchase orders, trailer specification information, order status, sales reporting, and tag, tax, and title administration Daily interaction with customers, trailer finance companies, sales representatives, and cross-functional team.
Responsible for the accuracy and timely processing of customer invoices; maintain detailed records, and perform month-end closing activities; interface directly with Corporate Finance and Accounting departments, support annual audits, and protect corporate financial interests Execute accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash and check handling in accordance with established corporate policies and procedures Maintain detailed records on split sales commissions and coordinate timely responses to sales commission discrepancies Tracks, maintains, and updates accurate customer information within CRM to support leads and opportunity management, prospecting efforts, mailings, and customer data management activities Maintain and manage stock trailer allocations and stock transfers Coordinate and execute the movement of all completed trailers to their respective FOB shipping point Create new customer accounts, assist in warranty registration of new trailers, and submit new vendor requests as applicable Work with Regional Used Trailer Managers to manage, market, and audit regional used equipment and provide sales and customer analytical reports to regional and corporate management Complete and submit Manufacturer's Statement of Origin (MSO) for new trailers to state agencies to support state tag/title applications Maintain active dealer registration licenses and authorized sales agents in accordance with state regulatory agency requirements Stays abreast of title regulations and attends seminars and training provided by local licensing bureaus related to title regulations Provide cross training to others to handle title responsibilities and conducts periodic training sessions for salespeople regarding title regulations Assist the salesperson in ensuring customer issues are handled in a timely manner and follow up with customers to make sure their issues have been resolved Review customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and opportunities for growth Other duties and responsibilities as assigned Job Requirements:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred Years of
Experience:
1-5 years of relevant business and office administration experience, preferably in a sales environment Foundational knowledge of accounts payables/receivables and general accounting principles Strong interpersonal, professional business-like verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational, follow-up and prioritization skills Ability to work independently as well as successfully collaborate with internal cross-functional teams to drive solutions, ensure customer satisfaction, and manage executive-level relationships Notary public or ability to satisfy basic requirements to obtain notary commission Participate in sales coordinator team meetings, regional sales meetings, training, and events.
