In this role, you will:
Consult with employees, managers, and other subject matter experts to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training and gather information necessary for the development of training documentation that enhances the overall job experience and/ or production effectiveness; this will help drive high performance within the organization Prepare and maintain accurate training documentation to ensure adherence to current processes, such as Job Instruction Breakdown (JIB), Job Aids (JA), Trouble-Shooting Guides (TSGs) Strong ability to read and interpret documents such as technical data, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Coordinate training schedules with the hiring and training demands and determine instructional methods such as individual training, group instruction, demonstrations, etc.
(when applicable) Ability to determine most effective aids based on audience such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference works.
Facilitate training sessions for new and existing employees covering specified areas such as practical instructions for equipment, Standard on-the-job training, refresher training, etc.
Audit /Test trainees to measure progress and to evaluate effectiveness of training.
Utilize opportunity to make on the spot corrections Demonstrate sound communication skills (written and verbal), attention to detail, and ability to speak effectively in interpersonal situations and before groups of employees Responsible for maintaining knowledge and skills to meet training needs, subject matter expert in area (s) and processes Develop training plans for trainees, with clear expectation.
Participate as a member of the plant's Training & Qualification Pillar Team Navigate in MyLearning to give credit, run reports, and ensure proper assignments for employees.
Develop in-depth knowledge and understanding of all the resource support pillars, including Safety and Quality to give training support on the processes, and supporting the change in culture.
Support Engineer, change management, new equipment, new process, capital project projects.
Develop Theory of Operation, troubleshooting, changeover, job aids and any supporting documentation for equipment, processes, and projects.
May participate in interview process of internal/external candidates for hourly associates Strong ability to maintain confidentiality Perform administrative tasks in the areas of tracking, documenting feedback, maintain training records, etc.
Perform other duties as assigned What we look for:
Ability to changeover, operate, and troubleshoot all major packaging line equipment in order to provide hands-on instruction to trainees; knowledge of molding equipment is a plus Working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word is required.
