00 an hour, typically offering 35-40 hours per week with plenty of opportunities for overtime.
It's important to note that Lab Assistants are required to have a high school diploma on file to be eligible for this position.
As a Lab Assistant, you'll be expected to see 30-40 patients per day, performing tasks such as hemoglobin, RHOgam, and pregnancy testing.
(Please note that these tests typically take 2-3 mins per test.
) Don't worry if you're not experienced in these areas; you'll receive thorough training on each testing procedure.
In addition to patient testing, you'll also be responsible for ensuring that lab results and books are recorded correctly for any audits.

Furthermore, this position offers opportunities for cross-training in other areas such as Vitals and Medical Abortion Counseling.

MUST BE ABLE TO WORK SATURDAYS! Training:
PCAs will receive on-site training for all job tasks, including but not limited to infection control, patient counseling, labwork, medical history, procedures, dirty and clean utility room, and recovery room tasks.
While prior training or experience in these areas is recommended, it is not required.
Special Skills:
PCAs with additional certifications (CNA, MA, LPN, etc.
) should have copies of these certifications kept in their employee file.
These items are not required, but are highly recommended.
Employees should expect to be asked to undergo basic life support (BLS) training upon hire.
