12-Hour Rotating Shifts (36 / 48) Reports To Extrusion Shift Supervisor Job Overview Performing an array of duties to ensure the successful production of plastic materials, safe handling of all products, and the safety of all employees.
Provide quality assurance for all finished good through attention to detail and efficiency in production.
Responsibilities and Duties Understand and adhere to all safety requirements and regulations.
Ensuring and enforcing all policies and procedures (safety and company).
Ensuring PPE in worn at all times necessary.
Ensure safe working practices are followed and all accidents, hazards, near misses, and property damage are reported in the required time Ensuring the quality of product.
Following the Process Control Parameters.
Ensuring the completion and accuracy of all required reports.
Monitor the scrap.
Maintain clean and safe work environment.
Housekeeping (sweeping, cleaning, wipe-downs, garbage).
Ensuring the production floor and all common areas are prepared and clean for the next shift Communicate effectively will all employees.
Complete reports relating to production and machine performance, including all down time giving explanation.
Promote a safe working environment.
Produce finished goods that meet or exceed our customers' requirements and specifications, and to produce these finished goods at optimum cycle times for efficient throughout.
Machine adjustments.
Start/shut down machines.
Checks safety devices before starting the machine Monitor and adjust equipment for quality production.
Communicate with lead or shift supervisor to address any need for improvement.
Meeting production priorities and targets.
Qualifications Education:
High School or Equivalent
Experience:
Plastics manufacturing experience a plus.
Skills:
Experience in a Food Grade plant is preferred.
Ability to understand and use basic math.
Ability to work well in a team.
Able to read and write English.
Must be dependable.
Must have a good attendance record.
Must have good communication skills and the assertiveness to keep on top of documentation requirements.
Work 12-hours shifts.
Must have the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Flexibility, the willingness to look beyond the job description and assist in doing what must be done to meet customer needs.
